*It gives me immense pleasure to know that CUET Alumni USA is going to celebrate the Annual Dinner and Cultural Function on December 16th 2018, the great Victory Day of Bangladesh. I also am very happy to know that, CUET Alumni USA is going to publish a magazine on the occasions of the Annual Dinner and Cultural Function.A magazine is always a reflection of creativity.I hope that, their magazine will highlight the glorious activities of CUET Alumni as well as their CUET.
*CUET alumni is our pride. They are doing very well in home and abroad. CUET Alumni USA has already proven their potential and creativity in their every arrangement. This is known to us that, the alumni’s opinion in developing the university and proposed solutions to the challenges faced by the university is highly valued by the university in achieving its vision and mission. The involvement of alumni in supporting and providing contributions voluntarily to their university are important for maintaining and expanding a university’s development. By establishing channels that can facilitate closer ties between the alumni, students and university. The alumni is an asset to the university, and their contributions and involvement can significantly increase the reputation of the university nationally and internationally.
*The Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) started its journey with the core mission of developing quality human resources in the field of engineering and technology to serve the nation and the world. It has been accumulating this kudos over the period of 50 years since its inception as engineering college in 1968. At present, the university has 17 departments, 3 Institutes and 3 research centers. 841 undergraduate students get admission into 10 degree awarding departments every year and the graduate programs (MSc, MEng, MPhill, PhD) are running under 8 departments.Total no of students at present 4000.
*To fulfill our central mission, we are inducing the brightest students in our undergraduate academic programs, through highly competitive admission test. Academic programs are complemented with the commitment to provide our students a global career by the frequently updated curricula. In addition to our dedicated faculty, the students are able to gather hands-on industry's experience as CUET is enjoying geographical advantages as the solitary engineering university at the south-east region of the country. Chittagong region holds its eminence for the country's premier sea-port, myriad of heavy and light industries.
*CUET takes step to celebrate its glorious 50 years journey on next March 2019. Within this 50 years of journey a lot of engineers are graduated from this university, who are serving in the reputed national and international organizations. We are hopeful that a number of foreign delegates along with more than 8000 alumni and prominent engineers will gather at CUET premise to delight the event.
